From Cornerstone Baptist Church in Danielson:

We have added to our monthly newsletter a "Green Corner" section to provide hints for how we can save energy, use less water, focus on buying locally, ridding our homes of toxic chemicals in favor of "greener" products, etc.

We have opened a Fair Trade "store" for our congregation and
visitors to purchase fair trade coffee, tea and cocoa with plans
to add several other products to the mix. Our Sunday School
classes have become involved by taking time to study the
countries where the products originate, especially those where
we have ABC missionaries.

Our new pastor, Greg Thomas, has incorporated a "Peace Candle Moment" into our weekly Sunday service for a quick look at a current environmental or social justice concern.

We will be hosting the Killingly-Brooklyn Interfaith Council's
Earth Day Celebration along with a short session for the
children on environmental concerns...
