For Earth Prayers

Use poetry and images to create appreciation and wonder;

Use new music or familiar psalms or create your own rhythms to create a feeling of harmony and connection

Use silence and thematic sharing to feel and express your hopes, concerns and appreciation for our living home. Click here for a theoretical framework for "earth ministry" by Joanna Macy.

Our prayers are with the people and all the other creatures of the Gulf of Mexico eco-system.

May the Author of Life guide us to wisdom and resolve to learn and adapt

for the deepest possible healing to emerge from this event.

And the Catholic Church has initiated an educational campaign as well called Who's Under Your Carbon Footprint?

Click here for their You Tube Video.

The CT Trust for historic preservation is offering grants of $500 to towns and cities for energy audits of their historic buildings. The grants include follow-up consultation with one of the Connecticut Circuit Riders to interpret the results and discuss how best to meet the building’s energy conservation needs while preserving its historic character.
