The CT Roundtable on Climate & Jobs is a collaboration that brings together religious, environmental, and labor leaders to discuss how we can work together to build a sustainable economy that creates good-paying jobs in Connecticut while also addressing the very real environmental crisis caused by climate change.
The CT Roundtable of Climate & Jobs is built on the idea that we do not need to make a choice between jobs and the environment. Instead, we can work together to both mitigate and adapt to climate change through strategies that include green economic policies, innovative greentech research, and the promotion of technologies that will reduce our carbon production. Recognizing that the livelihoods of workers may be threatened, the CT Roundtable on Climate & Jobs in committed to a fair and just transition for workers affected by the changes in how we consume and produce energy.
The strength of the CT Roundtable on Climate & Jobs is in its ability to engage people from different backgrounds in an honest and open dialogue that successfully identifies areas of agreement on which we can work together, while still seeking common ground on subjects where we do not agree. Our diversity is our strength.
