As Connecticut Interfaith Power & Light, we work to build a religious response to global warming. CT IPL is a part of a nationwide network of thirty-nine state affiliates working to fight climate change across the country. Founded by the Reverend Sally Bingham, Interfaith Power & Light has been a true force for change on both the local and national levels.
CT IPL has many programs available to help you reduce your carbon footprint, both at home and in your place of worship. For example, your congregation can raise awareness about climate change by participating in the Preach-In on Global Warming in February. You can also win money for different energy efficiency and renewable technology projects through the Cool Congregations Challenge. The CT Roundtable on Climate & Jobs is CT IPL’s groundbreaking partnership with the AFL-CIO and other labor unions to work together for a green economy. And don’t forget to check out the delicious recipes in our Climate Kitchen!
And those are just a few of the resources available to help you combat climate change with CT Interfaith Power & Light! Please read about all of our programs and contact Terri Eickel at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more!
