IREJN is excited to support religious communities as they address climate change, energy, food justice, and biodiversity loss. Below is the list of religious communities that have received grants so far in 2024.

Energy Efficiency Small Grant Fund

Union Baptist Church, Hartford – $1,000

Temple Bnai Israel, Willimantic – $1,000

First Baptist Church of New Haven – $1000

International Family Worship Center, New London – $1,000

First Congregational Church of West Haven – $1,000

Mt. Bethel MB Church, New Haven – $1,000

Lynn Johnson Memorial Garden Grant Fund

Vegetable Gardens

Bridgeport Rescue Mission – $1,000

St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, New Haven – $330 (renewal grant)

Pollinator Gardens

North United Methodist Church, Hartford – $500

First Church of Christ, Clinton – $250

First Church of Christ, Simsbury – $250

Applications are still being accepted for our Energy Efficiency Grant Fund – grants are processed on a rolling basis. Applications are also being accepted for the Lynn Johnson Memorial Garden Grant Fund, but grants won’t be finalized until the fall. To learn more, visit www.irejn.org
