Energy Efficiency

Energy Efficiency Toolkit

According to Dr. Katharine Hayhoe, 60% of the U.S.’s carbon emissions could be eliminated through energy efficiency ALONE. Fortunately, we live in CT and have access to great energy efficiency programs through Energize CT, a program run by Eversoure and United Illuminating and funded by the rate payers.

In 2023, IREJN and CT IPL are assisting houses of worship in the efforts to reduce their energy usage by participating in the Small Business Energy Advantage program, a free energy audit and assessment for small businesses, including houses of worship, and by holding a Home Energy Solutions (HES) weatherization campaign, a designed to help residents reduce their energy usage and save money on energy costs!

To help you in your HES campaign, we have created an Energy Efficiency Toolkit. It consists of the following documents from Energize CT:

The toolkit also consists of the following documents from IREJN:
To request your toolkit, please e-mail Terri at terri@irejn.org with the number of people in your congregation and your goals for participation.
