In the world of legislative advocacy, a handwritten note is the gold standard. IREJN will be doing a postcard campaign for legislators in 2025, so you can let your Governor, state representative, and state senator know that you want them to act on climate change. We are asking houses of worship to sign up to send postcards. Participating houses of worship will receive postcards, postcard stamps, and suggested messaging (but feel free to personalize the message!) We will mail out our first batch of postcards right after the new year, so that the Governor and legislature receive their postcards at the start of the 2025 session.
Please sign up at the link below. Plan for three postcards for each participant. Ideally, it will take about 20 minutes to write three postcards, so it can be done easily after worship service.
