Former Executive Director Terri Eickel will receive the 2016 Serenity Award, which is awarded each year by the Center for Serenity to people who “have inspired us with their acts of courage, and who bring more peace, beauty, healing, and wisdom into our world.” Eickel will be honored in an event on April 2, where she will be recognized for her environmental work and efforts to preserve the planet for future generations.
The Serenity Award Ceremony will take place on April 2, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of West Hartford, 90 North Main Street, West Hartford. Eickel, a professional opera singer, will present a concert of opera arias, music theater, and spirituals, in collaboration with pianist David Chrzanowski.
