Father Sam Fuller, an IREJN Board member, recently wrote an op-ed for the Concord Monitor, which calls for the city of Concord to utilize some of that old-fashioned “Yankee ingenuity” to address energy production and climate change. The city’s energy facility, Concord Steam, is closing and natural gas is being cited as the alternative fuel source for Concord. Father Sam cites three successful efforts in New England which have transitioned to clean, renewable energy for power. Father Sam, who is a tireless advocate for the planet, makes a great case for renewable energy and a return to Yankee ingenuity.
