Lynn Johnson is a full time environmental activist, grandmother and tree lover. She has been on the Board of IREJN for the past 6 years, creating the “Earthkeepers Dinner” and developing membership. She writes the monthly “Earthkeepers Corner” for IREJN’s churches, synagogues and mosques. She serves as the Program Director of the Environmental Action Committee of Immanuel Congregational Church in Hartford. There she is the Adviser to the “Eco Kids”, middle and high school youth working to save their Earth. Formerly a creative arts therapist and pastoral counselor, she founded and directed the nonprofit “Center for Serenity” for 20 years. Twelve of those years she co-lead monthly “Earth Prayer” gatherings with the Rev. Tom Carr. A Quaker by convincement, caring for the Earth is central to her life.
