Peterson is the host and producer for three very different podcasts.
- Citizens Climate Radio–A Climate Change Podcast
- Bubble&Squeak, his own personal audio playground
- Quakers Today, the companion podcast to Friends Journal magazine.
While the style and content are different for each, as you listen you will notice an attention to detail, a sensitivity to storytelling, and skill in hand mixing the sound so it sounds highly professional and still warm and intimate.
Peterson and his team produces various other podcasts, radio, and video projects. They also provide technical support and mentoring for beginning podcasters.
These days Peterson is known most for his podcast hosting and production, but from 2003 to 2020 he connected with audiences throughout North America, Europe, and Africa through his one-person comedies and lively lectures. His plays and talks humorously explored the serious topics of LGBTQ issues, sexism, racism, privilege, gender, and climate change.
Peterson is a recognized scholar who has highlighted gender variance in the Bible. His performance lectures garnered much attention and praise from Bible scholars. He presented Transfigurations–Transgressing Gender in the Bible at academic conferences, seminaries, universities, places of worship, and drag bars.
