As a member of the SNEUCC Environmental Ministry Team, Rev. Nancy Leckerling was instrumental in expanding their Green Congregations program for UCC churches, and IREJN’s Green Houses of Worship, a four-tiered recognition program for environmental ministry.
As the chair of First Congregational Church of Guilford’s Environmental Ministry Team, she led the church to achieve Level 3 in the Green Congregations and Green Houses of Worship programs. She is passionate about addressing climate change, systemic and racial injustice, and species loss. When she isn’t testifying at the Capitol, you can find her in her garden with her hands in the soil.
Rev. Nancy Leckerling is a pastoral counselor specializing in grief, pre-marital, and family counseling and cognitive behavioral therapy. She has a Bachelors in Religion and Psychology from Connecticut College, Masters in Education from Columbia University, and Masters in Divinity from Yale University.
